Grace Carr - Founder & CEO, Trainer, Class Instructor, Nutrition Coach
Grace is a longtime athlete and lover of all sport. She was formerly a D1 Collegiate runner and Gatorade Player of the Year. She began teaching fitness classes and started a mobile training business shortly after moving to Maine in 2018. She has fallen in love with strength training and quality nutrition and is passionate about educating clients on the power of movement, diet and lifestyle.
She is certified as a personal trainer (NASM), fitness nutrition + sports performance specialist (ACE), and is studying to become an Integrative Functional Nutrition Certified Practitioner (INFCP).
Arlee Woodworth - Private Yoga Instructor
Arlee has a wealth of yoga knowledge and brings a passion for exercise and eating well to the fitness center. She lives in Blue Hill with her husband and 2 children.
Arlee completed her 200 hour teacher training at Jai Yoga (Kripalu Studio) in Brunswick, ME in 2013. Arlee did her 100 hour prenatal teacher training with Barrett Reinhorn of Five Points Yoga in Cambridge, MA in the fall of 2014. She also became a certified doula in 2014.
Mara Raskin - Guest Pilates Instructor
Mara Raskin is a dually-certified Pilates Instructor and Yoga Teacher. Mara trained extensively in New York City and achieved Certified Instructor status in early 2003 from Joseph Pilates’ protégé, Master Instructor Romana Kryzanowska.
Mara secured a second comprehensive certification in 2008 from Stott Pilates.
We are looking to hire additional certified personal trainers to join our team!
Personal Trainer: independent contractor, 12 - 15 trainings/week (privates + semi-private)
GCFITNESS is looking for an energetic, knowledgeable and passionate trainer to join Grace’s team in order to provide personal training and fitness services to a variety of clients. The candidate should be excited to work with athletes of all ages, genders and abilities. She/he should bring fun and spirit to training sessions and classes. She/he should love to exercise and teach clients about movement and eating well. He/she will work on site at the GCF center 5-6 days/week.
Requirements:
18+, valid ID
Certified as a trainer and/or fitness instructor by a nationally accredited program
CPR and First Aid certified
Additional education or experience in nutrition, fitness and wellness encouraged
Pay/Benefits:
$35/hour, increases to $40+ following 3 months employment
